High Quality

Since starting the New Chapter Probiotics All-Flora capsules in comparison to my previous probiotics, I’ve noticed:
-less stomach pain
-less stomach cramps
-less gas
-easier bowel movements
-more consistent bowel movements.

There’s been a number of improvements and I’m really happy overall with the probiotics. I feel healthier and I’m able to function better as a result.

The biggest downfall is the price. Compared to some alternatives, they’re not nearly as affordable as some. If you’re on a budget, there are a few comparable generics that work as well as the new chapters do. I only take one of the generics where I’d take 2 of the new chapter brand so that helps. Probiotic Complete – 90 Capsules + FREE Bottle of Vitamin D-3 5000 IU Capsules- plus if you add in the vitamin D your effects are prolonged and therefore it helps more. You could combine the all-flora probiotics with the Vitamin D too depending on your preference. Either way it will help even more so.

Very Effective, Highly Recommended

First of all, let me say that I’m writing this review mostly because my wife will never write a review, and it’s for her that this has been the most beneficial. It’ll be short and sweet. Without getting too detailed, my wife was experiencing discomfort in her abdomen prior to the onset of her monthly cycle. The lady-doctor (GYN) said that it was likely due to being bound up at those times because of this and that, and the lady-doctor suggested she take some fiber supplements to help move things along. (We are both vegans, so adding MORE fiber sounded weird). Well, she did that–took the Citrucel fiber supplement–and it would help, but only AFTER the discomfort had begun. A lot of time passed like this (years?), always with good test results from the lady-doctor and always with the lady-doctor saying that it was “just something that some women get around that time each month”.

No one likes to see their loved-one experience discomfort, so I figured that maybe there was something else we could do. I researched lots of stuff and all of it helped a little bit: Adding cinnamon to her morning oatmeal (research cinnamon and you’ll see why it’s awesome), drink dong-quai tea (or Women’s Energy Tea from Yogi Teas, which also has cinnamon), and then finally New Chapter All-Flora. The cinnamon and the tea (the tea only on the few days before her cycle) helped to a degree, but taking New Chapter All-Flora helped tremendously (she says). We both started with the recommended two a day (on the bottle) for about two weeks to boost us up, and then went down to just one a day each and had the same effects (at least as far as we can tell).

Prior to using New Chapter All-Flora, we used the acidophilus wafers from Nature’s Bounty, and the vegetarian PB 8, the Nature’s Bounty stuff was cheap and didn’t work at all. The PB 8 worked, it did, but it’s not vegan and it’s not organic. Plus with the New Chapter, you can subscribe to it on Amazon and that’s pretty great. Plus the New Chapter brand just makes sense. PB 8 is like a bazooka cannon, it gives you a ton of probiotics, and it’s not subtle. Ordering them (as of now) here on Amazon, you never know who it is that you’re buying from since it’s always a different third party vendor.

New Chapter All-Flora provides a lot of probiotics too (not as much as PB 8, but a lot more than most), but–unlike PB 8 and the others that I’ve found–New Chapter All-Flora also provides PREbiotics, which in my opinion makes more sense. New Chapter’s capsules are whole food, best taken on an empty stomach, and contain everything that the body needs in the way of probiotics and prebiotics. The healthy bacteria in the New Chapter All-Flora have food to eat right inside the capsules that allow themselves to flourish once they reach your body. Plus one of the media in the capsules is fermented soy (along with apple and Jerusalem artichoke inulin), and in many cultures, fermented soy is highly prized for its OWN health benefits (e.g. miso, natto, etc.)

Plus New Chapter All Flora is organic, non-dairy based, and totally vegan. PB 8 can’t say that–they have a vegetarian option, but it’s milk-based.

Okay, so this wasn’t short and sweet. But I do recommend New Chapter All-Flora, both myself and my wife, actually.

Namaste.

The best!

I used New Chapter’s Prenatal Vitamins with both of my girls and loved them, so I decided to give these a shot. After a round of strong antibiotics my digestive system was left in shambles. This has fully restored it! I love that it has the vital PREbiotics built right in to feed the probiotics. I also love that it has 9 strains of good bacteria rather than 1 or 2 like other brands. I would highly recommend these to anyone :)

Love this product!

I let myself run out of these and had to wait about a week while they were shipped to me. I didn’t like the way I felt during that week. I can definitely tell a difference in the way I feel and the way my body “operates” when I’m not on the probiotics. I am very happy I was introduced to the All Flora Probiotics and highly recommend them. I take 2 every morning with water before I eat or drink anything else. I keep them in the fridge, as recommended.

One of the best I’ve ever tried!

I had been on generic probiotics for years with 1 or 2 strains of bacteria and those seemed to work fine. However, I’ve had issues with my “flora” for the last 3 years as a result of using birth control pills. Since then, it has been unfortunately way too easy to get my system out of balance. This can be caused by stress, eating a really sugary meal, or getting sick. My gut also seems resistant to repopulation to new, healthy strains. Case in point, after receiving this product, I went with the directions of 2 per day on an empty stomach. Well that made me gassy, bloated, and crave sweets and start to eat the cupboard, which was an exacerbation of my original symptoms. It’s not very fun to have good and bad bacteria fighting down there! So I upped my dose, taking 3 in the morning and 3 at night. Within 12 hours I was feeling right again. If I have great results, I’d think anyone would expect the same with this product. It is really high quality at a fraction of the cost that I would usually have to pay. Forty bucks a bottle is just not realistic for someone like me, even being able to back off to a maintenance dose after a few days.
Best of luck to anyone suffering with the problem of bacterial imbalance. It really is astounding how much of an impact that this can have on our health and our behavior. I have NO self control when it comes to eating if my flora is off. I swear I am more easily irritated as well. Crazy!

This product was recommended to me by a doctor and it worked just as it was supposed to after just a couple weeks of regular usage. I think it’s pretty important to follow the instructions and take it on an empty stomach. It did upset my stomach a bit when I ate food immediately after taking the pills.

VERY happy with this product

Earlier this year I fractured a joint in my toe. As a result, my doctor put me on a course of antibiotics because she was concerned about a possible infection. I took the antibiotics as required, and after finishing the course I started having trouble with constipation. I didn’t really think much about it but instead just took a stool softener and tried to eat more green leafy veggies and fruits like normal. This normally clears me right up.

Over the course of the next few weeks my problem didn’t get much better, as a matter of fact it got worse. I had to increase my use of stool softeners to the point where I was taking 4 a day. I was really confused as to what could be going on. I was tracking my fiber (eating LOTS, and taking a supplement of fiber) and drinking lots of water.

I started doing research into various causes and came across an article about how if you have a bad balance of bacteria in your gut it can cause constipation. I went downstairs and took 4 of these pills right before I went to bed.

Now, you have to realize that by the time I was to this point my doctor had referred me to a surgeon. I was in bad shape, and I was in pain. It’s not fun.

The next day I felt things moving more normally, and I’m not kidding when I say that for the last few months I’ve had no problems. It’s really amazing, but I’m going to continue taking these for quite a while just to be sure everything gets healed up inside me – I feel so bad for letting it go for so long.

Anyway – I’m quite sure that this product really helped my gut return to normal. I’m so grateful for it. There’s probably other brands that also work well for this kind of thing, but this was the one that I had, and it worked really well for me.

Great Product. BEWARE HOT WEATHER. Organic a HUGE PLUS!

Great quality product.
I like the amber glass bottles.
I cant say I feel a difference- but I trust that it does help overall wellbeing- promotes ‘stool regularity’
I would eat organic quality yogurt daily if possible – but I cant always incorporate into daily meals.

ALSO- I would recommend the 2 day shipping or overnight on this product in the warm/hot weather.
The Probiotics ARE heat sensitive and will be destroyed by heat. This is why they are kept refridgerated in the health food stores!

Too bad this requires refrigeration

This seems to be a great product. I like the broad array of probiotics, seems to have them all covered in one convenient capsule. Does not upset my stomach. The only thing I don’t care for is that the product has to be refrigerated after opening, so taking these along on vacation is not an option. Other brands on the market do not require refrigeration.

Has soy in it.

It has soy in it so it’s not for me. I would not have purchased it if I would have known.
