Used to stop Knee discomfort

 June 30, 2008
By JR "Jim R."

I do a lot of exercising, play basketball. I am getting older and was beginning to experience discomfort in my knees. Brother told me about using glucosamine. So I started using this product and a calcium supplement. The discomfort disappeared in about two weeks. I now play basketball almost every day without any discomfort. I really think this product has made a difference.

Very Helpful

This product has definitely helped reduce my back and joint pain after about three weeks of taking three tabs daily. Highly recommended, whether your pain is from an old injury or arthritis.

Alternative Glucosamine

I am allergic to shrimp which is what most glucosamine is made from. This glucosamine, however, is made from corn. It has reduced my discomfort considerably in the three months I’ve been using it.

Great choice for vegan athletes

I was a little skeptical when purchasing this product. In my (nonvegan) past, I’d used OTC Glucosamine/Chondroitin tabs before to help with knee pain when running. Since having gone vegan, I was looking for a product that could help with the knee pain, without the chondroitin. This product worked wonders! I’m so glad there is a reliable vegan product out there to turn to.

Senior dog

I give this (along with another dog joint “treat”) to my older dog who has arthritis. Without it she was laying around more often than not, and was having trouble walking more than a block. With this in her regimen, she’s been a lot friskier and has started becoming more playful. I give her one to two a day with her food (break the pill in half and drop the two pieces into her bowl) and have no problem with her taking it in.

Great for people and animals!

I first purchased this for my old dog who has had a lot of pain and often was completely lame in one leg. It worked miracles in less than a week! I couldn’t believe how quickly she improved. It keeps her pain-free as long as I put one crushed up in her food each night. (She is 25lbs) If I skip a day she will be limping in the morning. Now my husband also takes it to help with his joints. It is great to find a vegetarian alternative that really works!

Seems to be helping

Since I am allergic to shellfish, I couldn’t take glucosaming chondroitin to deal with joint pain. This product fills that gap. I’ve been using it for several months and the joint pain is reduced thought not gone. So I think I can say it seems to be helping

Just as good as the real thing

I know this is not from any shellfish, but I have to say this stuff works just as good. I, like other reviews, take three pills every day (to make sure I get the amount of glucosamine that works for me of 1500 milligrams). I have taken this for over about 3 months now and have gone off and on it for my knee pain from installing floors/cleaning floors and working in a retail stocking environment for over 14 years. I just hit 33 last year and for the first time in my life I am getting knee pain just working as a retail distributor. I played basketball in the past but was afraid too, but after reading some of these reviews I may now start again since it’s working so good! Every time I go off of it for five times now after about 2 to 4 days I have to take it again for a few days to be pain free again. It is hard to believe something vegan can work like this, that is why I had to prove it to myself after going off of it for 5 times with a two month supply. You won’t regret this stuff! All of my friends are getting knee surgery if they don’t take a Glucosamine supplement. (Half are.) Now I am now avoiding surgery too! Hot dog!!!

wonderful vegan product for minor joint pain

I originally purchased this product for my mother who has experienced quite a bit of knee pain and some slight shoulder pain. Primarily these pains were in the joints. She didn’t have great reactions to non-vegan products that are made from shellfish or other fish products so I decided to go vegan for her. She’s experiencing quite a bit less discomfort in her knees and shoulders and honestly hasn’t complained about them in quite some time.

I decided I’d use it for some slight knee pain in my left knee and it definitely helps alleviate the discomfort I’d feel when I’d get up after sitting for a while. The product is affordable and for what it’s worth, will help remedy joint discomfort… along with being a vegan option for those of us who prefer not to have animal byproducts in our supplements or simply don’t react well to shellfish products.

Works For Me

I can’t take products with shellfish, so I tried the Deva Vegan Glucosamine. After a couple of weeks, I did notice an improvement in my joints. I also noticed that Amazon sells this product at a much lower price than my local health food store. If you have joint pain, give it a try.
