Why detoxification is necessary?
In the present society, you can no longer survive a single day without encountering pollution. When dealing with people, air pollution is everywhere, be it from smokers, all sorts of sprays or from the exhaust of vehicles. This greatly affects the health in one way or another. Our body has its own means of healing and detoxifying. However, when pollutants that enter our body had been accumulated more than the capacity of self cleansing, we are giving our inside mechanisms a hard time. Then the tissues are stressed and therefore lead to malfunction. And because they are weakened, the cleansing process is also affected.
For these reasons, detoxification is necessary in order to keep a healthy body and mind. In general for a healthy living.
We definitely want a clean body. But we also need to help our system in regulating the body processes. However, you should not wait for your body organs to be stressed out and overworked before doing something. In times when the body lacks the command to keep the systems working, the person must supplement. The 5-day vegetarian detox plan will do a great help in keeping the body systems at work. This detox plan will rejuvenate the body as well as the spirit, keeping it clean and toned.
Detoxification plan is a type of a diet plan. Do the following for 5 days.
Eat only fresh fruits and green, leafy vegetables. It would be ideal if you can eat only garlic, broccoli, beets, and nuts during these 5 days.
Avoid Fats, oil, preservatives, soda based drinks and food additives.
Drink plenty of water (at least six to eight glasses a day). It flushes out the toxins in the forms of perspiration, urine, or stool.
Only fresh fruit extracts can be taken as beverages except for grapefruit.
Although you seem to eat less when detoxifying, make sure that you will not starve.
Detoxification plan should be done at least quarterly. Through the process of detoxification, the toxins are flushed out in your body and a new set of energy is supplied to the body providing you both physical and mental alertness.
Detoxification is not suitable for everyone
You must always take advice from a medical professional before going for a detox plan. Also note that you must immediately stop the detox diet if you feel dizzy or unfit during these 5 days.
Body cleanliness should be maintained not only in the outside, but more so in the inside. This vegetarian detox plan will even boost your stamina. It is because your intake is limited only to foods which are healthy and are good to the digestive system.
Do you have a friend who is not a vegetarian and believes that it is impossible to become a vegetarian? Then give them this tip for the sake of their own good health.
The tip is asking them to become a vegetarian only for 3 days a month for next 6 months. It does not have to be 3 consecutive days. Any three days a month. Challenge them to stay away from meat and fish just 3 days a month. It cannot be that hard.
Why only 3 days a month?
This is something that I have tried and tested multiple times. When they become a vegetarian for 3 days a month then two things can happen.
1. They will struggle to death on these three days and will hate vegetarian food.
2. They will love vegetarian food and feel the lightness of their body.
As you can see, there is a 50% chance of them liking vegetarian food. And who knows, they will become permanent vegetarians.
What you are trying to do hear is helping a person and protects animals and our planet.
Those who are on a low carb diet do not eat potatoes. Here is a cauliflower recipe to use Instead of mashed potatoes.
The quantities are a basic outline only for measurements as it can easily be doubled or tripled. This recipe makes about 4 servings. Be careful adding liquid. If you add too much, you are in for trouble. Add liquid gradually until you get the right thickness.
Ingredients
2 10 ounce packages frozen cauliflower (or fresh – same amount)
1 Teaspoon boullion granules (low sodium variety)
1/8 Teaspoon black pepper (or more to taste)
1 Tablespoon minced onion flakes (can omit)
1 Teaspoon butter
2 Tablespoons Cream (appx – add slowly)
Paprika (optional)
How to Prepare
Cook cauliflower thoroughly and drain. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cook cauliflower and remaining ingredients (except cream) in a food processor. Process until well blended, adding cream as necessary. You must be careful when adding cream. Add a little at a time to desired consistiency (leave some lumps if you like!) You can also use a blender to puree but a food processor is much easier.
Spray an ovenproof dish (approximately 1 1/2 quart size for this recipe) with cooking spray and put mixture in. Sprinkle with paprika if you like for additional flavor and a delightful color.
Bake for at least 20 minutes until hot.
